FMMI oversee tender process for new stadium development

December 2008, London

Working in eastern Europe for a professional club, FMMI have concluded the tender process for the engagement of architects to design a new football stadium and sports complex.

Following extensive research, a number of stadia specialists were approached. A short list of three companies was selected. "All three companies presented exciting proposals," commented FMMI’s Neil Eaves. "We are confident that the firm selected, AFL, will deliver a superb landmark development for our client."

FMMI manage 'turf' deal

September 2008, London

On behalf of an eastern European football club, FMMI have successfully concluded a tender process for a new artificial playing surface. Following extensive research on the artificial turf market, FMMI approached a number of companies regarding the project which included sub-base construction and installation of the playing surface.

Dan Fletcher commented, "We are delighted to have secured the services of ACT Global Sports on behalf of our client following this exhaustive tender process". The pitch, which will host first team competitive matches, will be installed by spring.

Superleague Formula kicks-off with Beijing win

August 2008, Donington

The long anticipated launch of Superleague Formula took place this weekend with the first event at Donington Park. After claiming pole position in Saturday’s qualifying, Beijing Guoan FC won the first race and take an overall lead in the series after 2 races.

"It's great to see the launch of this exciting series after so much hard work has gone into its planning and preparation," said Dan Fletcher, "it's particularly satisfying to see Beijing winning the first race seeing as we were responsible for their participation."

Superleague Formula chief Robin Webb was quick to recognise FMMI's contribution. "FMMI have supported us from the start and helped us sign strategically important clubs from Europe, Asia and South America. We can't thank them enough for their highly professional service."

Superleague Formula Hits China

May 2008, Beijing

FMMI have followed-up the signing of Brazilian favourites Corinthians by brokering a deal to bring Chinese Super League team Beijing Guoan FC into the Superleague Formula project. The deal will see Beijing join giants of the world game including AC Milan, PSV Eindhoven and FC Porto and become the first Asian representative in the series.

"Superleague Formula always wanted a Chinese car in the series," said FMMI Director Dan Fletcher, "we've been working for a long time to secure the signature of Beijing Guoan and we are delighted to have delivered."

FMMI engaged by Eastern European club in major consultancy project

April 2008, London

FMMI continue their development in Eastern Europe with a major consultancy project for an aspiring football club. Following on from successful work in Georgia, FMMI have been engaged by a club in a neighbouring country to advise on wholesale restructuring of the club including facilities, organisational structure and supporter development.

"Following recent successful projects in this part of the world, we were approached by this ambitious football owner with aspirations to compete firstly on a domestic level and eventually in European competition," commented FMMI's Neil Eaves. "This is an exciting project and enhances our growing reputation in the rapidly developing Eastern Europe market."

FMMI win more work in eastern Europe

March 2008, London

The Georgian Football Federation (GFF) has commissioned FMMI to draw-up a strategic blueprint to improve professional football in the country. The scope of the work is diverse ranging from the improving the national championships to advising on stadia developments. (This follows on from a joint UEFA/GFF project that FMMI undertook last summer).

Neil Eaves, Director of FMMI said, "This work will provide a road map for the future development of the game and form the foundations to improve the commercial value of football in Georgia. What's more, there is much that will be learnt here that would benefit other leagues looking to professionalise and commercialise their properties."

Corinthians join Superleague Formula

February 2008, São Paulo, Brazil

São Paulo giants Corinthians will join Rio rivals Flamengo in the inaugural season of Superleague Formula after becoming the latest club to join the new series. In a deal facilitated by FMMInternational, the club will also compete with European clubs AC Milan, Olympiacos, FC Porto, PSV Eindhoven, Borussia Dortmund, RSC Anderlecht, FC Basel and Sevilla FC.

With São Paulo also the home of the internationally renowned Interlagos circuit, the combination of football and motorsport is an ideal mix for the São Paulo market. FMMI's Dan Fletcher said, "We are pleased to have helped Superleague Formula secure the participation of Corinthians in the championship and will continue to work with them in South America and other markets around the world."
